10 Months Old

I can’t believe that my little man is 10 months old today.  We’ve entered the double-digits and there is no turning back.

Lucas is now fully mobile and walking everywhere.  He is happy in the stroller for about 30 minutes before he wants to get out and walk.  Good thing he is still ok holding my hand but I know that will end sooner than later.   Last week when walking wasn’t fast enough, he would crawl but that’s all over this week.  It’s walking only now!

How L watches his favorite show

This past month has been about lots of exploration and learning.  Lucas now likes to turn on and off the light switches and has become obsessed with the sink & tub drains.  He now takes his baths in an empty tub because he has let all the water out.  Lucas also loves opening and closing the front door, putting his toy in and out of the toy chest and playing with wheels.

His smiley & outgoing personality have remained and I’m seeing more and more of a little entertainer in him.  He likes to show off a bit and be the center of attention.  I’m sure most babies love that stuff.   Lucas also loves playing hide & seek, peek a boo and he finds it funny when he creeps up behind you.

Visiting NYC on Valentine’s Day

We don’t have stairs in our home so I’ve been practicing going downstairs at my parents’ house.  He now knows to stop and turn around when he sees the two-steps down to the family room.  He is also getting off chairs that way so he picked up that one quick.

Lucas continues to love books, Sesame Street, cars and anything that makes loud noises.  He is babbling up a storm and screams Momma when I’m not around.  He does Dadda too.

10 Month Rundown:

Diapers: Size 3 but Size 4 at night

Sleeping: From 7pm to 6am and two naps a day for at least an hour

Clothing Size: 6-12 month and 12-18 month

Eating: He’s become a good eater this month.  3 meals a day and 2 snacks with his favorite meal still being pot roast.   Mac & cheese comes in a close 2nd.  He is exactly like my husband and only likes home-cooked food.  No Kraft mac & cheese for this kid.  He’s even started eating my homemade bread only.  Ughhh

Loves: Cars, trucks, dump trucks, music, Sesame Street, pot roast, swings, graham crackers and swimming.

Dislikes: Diaper changes, getting dressed, getting out of the tub and not getting his way.

Only 2 months before the big 1st birthday!!  This year FLEW by.
