Sick Days

Sorry about the disappearing act this week but it was for a good reason.  Both my husband and son came down with a nasty cold this week and I’ve been trying to nurse them back to health.

I’ve made some chicken soup

Hung out in PJs and played the day away

and sucked out a lot of nose boogies.

In the mean time I am happy to say that I’ve still been able to keep up the working out.  Since the husband is sick as well, I’ve been able to head to the gym while he stays home with little man.   I’ve run 30 miles this week and took two Bar Method classes.  Fitness for the win!

I’ve talked about it a bit on the blog but I am just a little over a month out from the Disney Half Marathon.  Over the past month, I have tried to get faster by increasing the amount & speed of tempo runs on the treadmill.

My Goals:

A Goal: Break 2 hours

B Goal: Beat Trenton Half Marathon time of 2:08:08

C Goal: Have fun and finish in one piece

What training did you incorporate to break the 2 hour half marathon mark?
