Love With Food Review
I was so jealous of all the bloggers who had so much fun at BlogHer ’11 that I immediately bought a ticket for BlogHer ’12 when they went on sale. Fast forward a year and life for me has totally changed. I no longer work in NYC and am a SAHM. I knew that I wouldn’t be able to attend the bulk of BlogHer ’12 but I did get to go for Friday afternoon.
On that Friday afternoon I had the opportunity to visit the Expo and connect with the lovely ladies of Love With Food. Love With Food is a box food subscription service that delivers subscribers a curated box of tasty & unique treats based on seasonal themes. The service is just $10 a month and for every box sold, Love With Food donates a meal to a hungry child. Good food + helping others = a Big Win in my book!!!
Love With Food provided me with a box to review and I couldn’t wait to dig in. Actually, the husband and I couldn’t wait to dig in.
The box’s theme was Travlin’ Eats and contained a sheet explaining all the goods inside.
Skinny Dipping Pretzels by East Shore – Loved the shape, size and they were mighty tasty. The husband demolished these within 5 minutes of opening the box.
Key Lime with Ginger Mustard by East Shore – The Love With Food sheet suggests using the pretzels to dip in the mustard but I didn’t get the chance. Instead the husband and I used this as part of a marinade for salmon. Delicious!!!
Vegan Lemony Lemon Cookie and Peanut Butter Cookie by Sun Flour Baking Company – I admit, I am a skeptic when it comes to vegan baking. I believe in butter and that butter makes EVERYTHING taste awesome. I was surprised how great the peanut butter cookie was.
Dried Montmorency Cherries – What’s not to love about dried cherries? Again, demolished by the hubs very quickly.
Coconut Toffee Peanuts by Sconza Candies – Decadence..yum.
Gin Gins Super Strength Ginger Caramel Candy by The Ginger People – I do not like ginger candy at all so I didn’t taste this one. Hubs said it was ok.
Tangerine Glee Gum – We chewed, we loved.
I love that Love With Food is sharing tasty treats and helping others at the same time. The boxes are just $10 a month with a $2 shipping fee. Check out all the details here.
