August Running Wrap-Up
Hello September! In August, I ran a total of 99 miles and competed in one race. I ran the Not Quite Fall Classic in 37:54 for a 9:28 minute mile pace. I completed a 10 mile, 11 mile and a 12 mile long run this past month. Even though I had a small back injury, I was able to recover quickly and continue marathon training.
My August Running Goals
Complete a 13 mile long run – fail, I only did a 12 miler but have a half marathon today!
Complete an 8 mile stroller run – completed it!
Run the Turkey Swamp 10 Mile Race – missed out on this race because of family commitments
Run the Not Quite Fall Classic 4 mile. It’s the same course as the Firecracker 4 mile so I can’t wait to see if I’ve increased my speed. - Check and I was a whole minute faster a mile!
September Running Goals
Complete my 1st postpartum half marathon on September 2nd
Run my 1st race with Mr. L in the stroller
Complete an 18 mile training run
Run the Steeplechase 25k on September 30th
Take Mr. L to the gym daycare for the 1st time and do a treadmill speed session

And I want you to know how impressive you are! I can’t even fathom running a 5K right now nevermind a half marathon. You should be so proud of yourself : )
