1st Class Back
First of all…Thank you all so much for your baby group suggestions and comments. I went to the library to sign up for a story group, emailed a local moms group and am going to sign up for a month of Gymboree. Lucas and I appreciate all your suggestions and can’t wait to make some new friends! We do both secretly (or not so) wish that all of you lived in NJ and can be our friends.
I really started feeling better last weekend so I decided to sign up for a Bar Method class. Today was the day and I left my house at 10:15am for the 10:30am class. It totally felt weird to put on my workout clothes but I was so excited to go to the class.

Thoughts going thru my head during the class included:
“Wow, I feel and look like the Pillsbury DoughBoy.”
“Will my stomach ever go back to the way it was?”
“Do I still have ab muscles? How come a crunch is so hard to do”
“I have become the most inflexible person on the planet.”
“We are only 15 minutes into the class, I want to die.”
“F**k this is hard (and many other 4 letter words).”
“I know I’ll feel better when this is over but I am going to be so sore tomorrow.”

It was hard but I can’t wait to go back next week. I am ready for the challenge of getting my body back and I am only 1 week away from running. YAY! I wish I knew how long it will take to be back to where I was before baby, but I’m not putting any expectations on myself.
How long did it take you to get back to your pre-baby body? How long did it take for your runs to feel “easy” again?
