Week 27 Pregnancy Update

Yesterday’s Workout: 60 minute Bar Method class

Today’s Workout: 3 mile run/1.5 mile walk

Last week of the 2nd trimester and I can’t believe it!  This trimester flew by and I’m hoping the 3rd does as well.  Just 13 weeks till we get to meet our baby boy.

Starting the 2nd trimester at 14 weeks

and ending the 2nd trimester at 27 weeks

What’s up with baby this week?  - According to BabyCenter, Little Fella is nearly 2lbs and 14.5 inches long.  He’s getting big!  He is practicing breathing now and will occasionally have hiccups.  How cute! :)

How Am I Feeling? – Still pretty good.  I have loads of heartburn so I’ve switched to eating smaller meals.  It has definitely helped!  Throughout this whole pregnancy, sleeping has been a struggle or really easy for me.  This week was no different, I had a couple of days where I couldn’t stop sleeping and days where I can’t sleep at all.  It’s not fun. :(  I am also getting really anxious to get baby stuff done.  He is full term in just 10 weeks and I have done nothing.

How Have I Changed? – Not much.  Husband even remarked the other day that my belly hasn’t looked much bigger in a while.  Maybe we just don’t see it because we see my belly every day.  I also find it funny that I still have a waist.  So many of the baby book say that you will lose your waist, but I haven’t yet.  :)

Cravings – Still tomatoes and spinach.  I am also constantly craving the Chinese Chicken Salad at Nordstrom Cafe…the thought of it takes over my brain.

    oh and I found / felt that I had a belly growth spurt around 29-30 weeks!

  2. Yay :) I liked 27 weeks as it was sort of the unofficial third tri marker as well! Glad you’re feeling great- you look great too! And you have such a positive attitude, which I’m sure will help you to continue to look and feel great!

    My bump’s also been changing less noticeably in recent weeks. I think it’s partly that the baby is taking up more of the available space than before, and there’s not as much more growing for the uterus bit to do.

    Have fun getting organised for baby- it’s hard getting it all taken care of, but a few good lists will make all the difference!

    You look great!! So sorry could not see you when we were down this weekend. we were only here like a day. but maybe president’s day if you are around. I definitely think you now have more of a baby bump than before (too cute) so that is a change..

  5. Hooray for the third trimester – you are looking so good! I can’t tell whether your belly’s grown since last week but I can see the difference between the photos.

    Don’t worry about baby stuff. We moved when I was 6/7 months preggo and got it all done. Just one thing at a time.

    you look so cute!! You’ve definitely popped!!! Love the baby bump! And I have the EXACT same symptoms. Heart burn/Acid reflux. Sleeping well then not sleeping at all. UGH!
