S’mores Cookie Bars

I am getting married in just a few short weeks and my sisters’ threw me an amazing bridal shower last weekend. The theme was candy and there was candy everywhere, even in the table floral arrangements.
Quite a few of these were consumed while I was sitting at lunch
Knowing that I love to bake, my sisters’ also had each guest bring a recipe card for me. All the recipe cards went into a nice holder with my new monogram on the front. So, in the coming weeks, I am going to bake each recipe that was given to me. First up is the recipe from my older sister:
S’mores Cookie Bars
½ cup butter – room temp
¼ cup brown sugar
½ cup sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
¾ cup graham cracker crumbs
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
2 king sized Hershey bars
1 ½ cups Fluff, not melted marshmallows
Preheat oven to 350F. Grease square baking pan. In large bowl, cream butter + sugars until light. Beat in egg and vanilla. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, graham cracker crumbs, baking powder and salt. Add to butter mixture and mix at low speed until combined.
Divide dough in half and press half of dough into an even layer on the bottom of pan. Place chocolate bars over dough. Two king sized Hershey bars should fit side by side. Spread chocolate with Fluff. Place remaining dough in a single layer on the top of Fluff. Most easily achieved by flattening dough into small shingles and laying together.
Bake at 350F for 30-35 min until lightly browned.
I made this recipe last night for a dinner party the fiance and I had. Everyone loved them and they are super sweet like candy. I did buy two GIANT sized Hershey bars by accident, so I had a little leftover to munch on
I also couldn’t remember the last time I had Fluff, but it was super tasty.
